Semi-rigid PVC pipe is widely used in whirlpool bath and hot tub installations because it allows for fewer joints. Unlike vinyl pipe, it has a spiral wire reinforcement within the pipe wall, making it far stronger but still staying somewhat flexible.
This pipe is mainly used with standard glued socket fittings. It will NOT seal well if used with ribbed-barb connections! For ribbed barbs, use vinyl or reinforced pipe.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, commonly found on hot tubs, whirlpool baths, spas, and swimming pools. All fittings and pipework have smooth bores, which aid flow characteristics and abrasion resistance. PVC is light to handle and can be easily joined with a simple set of tools, PVC solvent cement and accessories.
